Jacob’s Auto Sales & Service was founded in 1992 by Sam Jacob. After migrating to the United States from Sierra Leone, West Africa, Sam would arrive in the United States at 1982 to attend Suffolk University. Between classes and over weekends, Sam would work pumping gas at service stations in and around Boston. Throughout college, Sam would form a deep passion for finance and business which would lead to his entrepreneurial nature that ultimately founded Jacob’s Auto in 1992.

Sam initially acquired the business as a tenant under the wing of Exxon Mobil. After proving his ability to grow a business and establish a true customer base, Mobil would go onto give Sam an option to purchase the property which he would go on to exercise. In 2002, The West Newton Mobil would become Jacob’s Auto, making Sam’s business one of the first independent unbranded service stations within a 10 miles radius.

Over the last 3 decades, Sam has scaled the business in multiple dimensions. From selling gas, state inspections, operating a garage, vehicle detailing, body work and used car sales, the business has added new forms of business making Jacob’s one of the only full-service automotive businesses in the northeast. To date, Jacob’s Auto has over 15 employees and a dedicated team who has all remained under the same roof for 20+ years.

Sam is excited to continue to grow his business and looks forward to seeing what he has built over the last 3 decades live on through generations.
